Mollie 9 years old

Oh my sweetest Mollie.  You just had your 9th birthday and my mom heart could just cry.  It goes so so fast, and I wish it would just slow down.  At the same time, it is the most amazing experience to watch you grow and change.  You are truly one of the most amazing human beings I've ever met.  You are 9 years old and I look up to you in so many ways!  I truly try to be like you.  You are the kindest person I know.  You really do just automatically think of others before yourself.  Just an example yesterday.  We went on the Heber train like we do at Christmas.  Annie's family was late and missed the train.  You felt so bad, after the train you immediately offered to give myla or Jack your cup you'd received as your gift on the train.  You didn't think twice about it.  That is just how you are.  In everything you do, you are kind.  That is something I admire greatly about you.  I pray you're always kind and caring, it just comes naturally to you.  But I also want you to be able to set boundaries and know when you need to say no.  If that makes sense.  Sometimes kindness is needed and amazing, but so are boundaries.  Just remember that.  

A couple weeks ago you turned 9.  You have been begging for a snake for literally a couple of years.  Your dad is terrified of snakes, so we decided to get you a lizard.  You were so excited!! I just want to remember how excited you were.  You carried that lizard around every where for days!! He's actually been a fun pet.  He just kinda hangs out and goes with you wherever.  You have just loved it so much! And you've really been quite responsible as well.  You clean his cage, and feed him really well.  You named him Leo.  I just love your excitement.  

You also had parent teacher conference a little while back.  Your teacher, Mrs. Fonnsebeck, looked at me and said, "she's really just perfect."  She could not have said it any better.  You really are ! You are just one of a kind in the best way possible.  Your naturally positive attitude amazes me.  I know life will come at you, and get you down.  I just pray you never ever lose that innate positivity you have.  It's something I, as well as many others, admire about you.  I can't tell you how many people comment to me regarding your happy demeanor.  It's just awesome!!  You're just awesome!! I love ya my Mollie girl! I hope you know how loved you really are.  I know I get cranky and impatient at times (a lot of times), but if there is one thing I want you to know, it's that you're very very loved.

 My sweetest, sweetest Mollie Jo.  Oh my goodness, how I love you! Your are truly one of a kind!  I pray with my whole heart that you always continue to be genuinely you.  You have a heart of gold and are so incredibly kind to all that you meet.  You've never met a person who doesn't just fall in love with you.  You are so hilarious too.  Just in the weirdest, best way.  You always ask me who my weirdest child is, in hopes that I will say it's you.  hahaha  

I love how you're such a friend to all. You are always willing to invite and include anyone around.  I love that about you.  I really admire your kindness and aspire to be more like you.  Even though I'm an adult, I still want to be like you! 

Your favorite things right now are playing with friends, playing dolls and barbies, playing mermaids, reading owl diaries, watching Mariah Elizebeth on youtube, playing in water, playing with slime/play dough.  You also love helping me cook, and you love to sing.  You have a beautiful singing voice! Your best friend is Evelyn and you spent lots and lots of time with her.  You work so hard in school, and you rock it!  You also LOVE doing arts and crafts!! You are very creative and I love it!! My fridge is always covered with your art work.  Right now you are almost done with 2nd grade, I can't believe it.  Time flies! I wish it would slow down, but its so fun to see you growing into the most amazing girl ever.  You are usually so happy! You always spread joy, like seriously.  Everywhere you go.  You just have a light that radiates from you.  Your happiness is contagious.  People can't help themselves, you just make them happy.  You're just the best Molls.  Never change who you are.  Always be true to yourself.  Know that you are amazing, kind, beautiful (inside and out), creative, resilient, forgiving, helpful, and sooo many other things.  Heavenly Father sent me such a blessing when he sent you to me.  I thank him every single day for your sweet spirit in our home.  What would I ever do without you.  I love you so so much!

 Mollie!!! You are 6 yrs old!!! I can't believe I've been such a slacker and haven't made a new post! I'm trying to do better! Oh my heck Mollie, where do I even start.  I just want you to know how dang awesome you are!!! You are seriously a ray of sunshine in my day every single day.  You are HILARIOUS, witty, smart, kind, and so so so thoughtful.  You are always just doing little things and making me feel like a million bucks.  For example, the other day we were in a restaurant and I mentioned i was cold.  You asked if you could take off your shirt to give to me to warm me up. !  First of all, my heart melted, that was so so sweet of you.  Second of all, I said no because I couldn't have a shirtless girl in the restaurant. hahaha You just make me smile a million billion times a day!  You're so creative and funny, well beyond your years.  You are so dang nice to all your siblings.  They ask you for something and you are always so willing to share and help them with anything they need.  You still LOVE blue blank!!! Although lately you've been leaving him home and telling me you'll be ok without him for a little while..  You're just getting so big and growing way too fast.  

You started kindergarten this year and you're doing amazing!!! We just took a trip and I asked your teacher for makeup work we could do while we were gone.  She said not to even worry about it because you are well above where you should be.  You're just smart!! Doing your homework with you is one of my favorite things because you just light up when you learn something new and you're just excelling!!! You are seriously rocking it!!! You should be dang proud of yourself.  You also got into the Spanish program next year, so we're excited for that.  

I mentioned we just went on a trip.  We went to Hawaii with Annie's family.  Just you and Emily went with me.  What an amazing trip it was !!! It was so fun to spend quality time with you and Emily.  You guys are truly amazing.  You lived it up in Hawaii!  You were seriously living your best life!  You are a little fish at the pool and a beach girl for sure!!! When we went on the snorkel boat tour you made friends with a little girl.  She asked you what your name was.  You said, "hissss."  She then said, "Tess?? That's a nice name."  Then you two just went along talking and having the best time.  Making friends comes so easy for you.  I hope it's always that way.  Your friends are so lucky because you are one of the funnest people to be around!!  You light up any room! I was also cracking up because Annie and Case took you into a gas station.  They let you guys pick a treat.  Myla got a little candy and you chose a full on bag of cheetos!  You came out munching on this huge bag of cheetos, happy as a clam !

Molls, I could seriously go on and on and on.  You're one of a kind, don't ever change!!! Be you through and through.  Trust me when I say you just sparkle and shine!!! You truly add light and happiness to any room you enter!!! Keep it up sweet girl.  

Just a few things I want to remember.  

You're obsessed with twerking and do it often. 

You hiss as a response much of the time. 

Nutella is your all-time favorite snack and you eat it by the spoonful.  

Your imagination is HUGE, and so is your creativity! 

You're obsessed with youtube and cookie swirl C.

You are a little artist and make the most ADORABLE amazing pictures !

You're a friend to all you meet!

You love flowers and gardening.  

You love lasagna!

You're just the best and I sure love ya my Mollie girl !!!!

My hilarious little Molls.  Oh man you are a hoot!! I know I've said it so many times, but you entertain me all day long!  You're just the funnest little thing!  I just wish I could freeze a day with you in my memory forever.  You wake up and come into my room wrapped in your blue blank.  You usually ask to watch a movie or for some fish crackers in a bowl.  I tell you not until after breakfast.  You always have a sippy with a drink for breakfast.  You also love eggs.  We just spend our day playing and you help me with cleaning.  You are often by my side.  You love to be involved in everything I am doing.  You are a good little helper.  You do love when the kids come home from school so you have some more play mates.  I was thinking how soon you are going to be going to preschool today, and it made my heart sad.  I really will miss ya when your not with me all day long.  You're my little side kick in everything I do.  You're just fun to bring places.  Whether we are running errands or just staying home you are always entertaining.  

Right now you ask for spaghetti for every meal.  You always want to watch Blippi on TV.  You ask to sleep in my bed every single night.  If I say no, you always respond with, "but I NEVER get to sleep by you!!"  Even though you sleep by me quite often.  You and Emily are still like oil and water, you fight all the time.  Although lately you have been playing together here and there.  I told your dad I didn't know what was going on but I was loving it!  You're also obsessed with Jack Skeleton from Nightmare Before Christmas, you want to be him when you grown up.  You also want to have a Jack skeleton birthday party next year.  You invite everyone you talk to to your "Jack skeleton skating party." You just don't have a shy bone in your body, and that's one of the main things I LOVE about you.  You love to put on makeup lately.  You have the cutest poses when you come show me your makeup and ask me if you look pretty.  You aren't too excited about the idea of having a baby brother join our family.  You asked me the other day if we could give him away to someone else.  You are so sweet to little Myla when we babysit her though, so I think you'll come around.  

I just love how happy you are most of the time.  You are so happy go lucky.  You just talk and talk and are so upbeat and happy about everything.  People around you can't help but absorb some of that positivity.  You're just the best, and you make me smile so much!  You can turn the worst day into such a positive one.  I love ya so much.  I hope you know that ! I hope I show you that every single day.  You're just amazing, and I truly cannot wait to see what you do in life.  Your big personality is going to take you places little girl!! I can't wait to be along for the ride.  Love you so much !

Mollie !!! How has it been a year since I've written! It was my new years resolution to do it once a month and clearly I haven't been very good about it.  But I really am trying! Oh Mollie girl, where to even begin with you :)!  You are the funniest dang cutest little girl !!! You are seriously one of a kind and you are just the best!!! I can't even tell you how much you make me smile in one day.  Just the things you say! I wish I could just freeze this time with you. 

You are potty training right now (still).  It's been several months of trying. LOL.  You totally know about it but sometimes you just don't want to do it.  You do amazing if we are home and you are naked :).  You rock peeing then!! But if I put anything (pull up or undies) on your bottom you totally stop and have accidents.  You also will not go in public.  You will only go in your froggy potty.  Going poop is a whole different story.  You've gone poop in the potty twice.  Once was at Grandma Becks and it was so random.  The other day I bought you a big barbie prize for you when you went poop, and you totally did that day and then you got the prize and have pooped on the floor every day since. :)  You totally know but you want to do things your way !  That's actually one of the things I love about you! I hope you never lose that sense of independence.  

One thing I never want to forget about you is how much you love blankies!  It was only your blue blank for years and years.  But now it's a lot of different blanks.  You have several that you love and you always have to take one with you where ever you go.  It cracks me up how you wrap it around your head and body like a little muslin woman and just wander all around.  You are just hilarious Mollie ! I just wish I could even begin to explain your huge personality!  It's so so so cute ! I can't  even ! 

Anyway Molls I just love ya to the moon and back!  Even tho mom is impatient at times, know I love you ! You are truly a blessing to this family and we have no idea what we did without you!

Hi  my sweetest little wild child ! Oh how I love you! 

You have been sick the last couple of days.  It is so sad to see my kiddos sick. You have been full of loves and cuddles though and that has been so nice!  As much as I hate to see you sick, it is nice when you slow down and just want to snuggle.  You've just had a little fever and have been really tired.  Other than that I think you're on the mend. 

Yesterday I was in the kitchen cleaning up dinner and you found a pair of scissors somewhere.  The next thing I know you are crying and crying saying, "my hair."  You cut a big chunk right out of the front.  It really wasn't too bad.  It just looks like you have some bangs now.  But you were so upset.  I don't think you realized that your hair would actually come off lol.  I'm hoping that you won't do it again now because you did get so upset.  I've stopped you from cutting your hair a few times before.  I think you get confused because I always use the scissors to cut out the elastics from your hair.  LOL. 

One of my favorite things about you right now is how you always say "sorry."  You say it every single time you are doing something wrong.  But you just keep doing what you're doing.  And you say it in the sweetest little voice ever.  Like you go to dump out the dog food, and you smile and say "sorry mommy" then you start stomping in the water you just dumped out.  Or you throw your food across the room when you're done eating and you smile and say, "sorry mommy."  Just every thing you do that's trouble, you always follow with the sweetest, "sorry."  Then you continue to do it :)... Gosh I just want to remember that little voice of yours.  My friend was saying the other day how cute your little voice is.  She said, you just don't expect such a high pitch little voice to come out of her.  It's so true.  Your little voice is so high and so so sweet. 

You've also started saying your prayers all by yourself lately.  Any time I say, k guys lets have a prayer, you immediately start to pray, whether we're ready or not.  You get very upset if someone else trys to say the prayer instead of you.  Seriously the sweetest little prayers you'll ever hear come out of you. 

I love how stubbornly independent you are.  You have to do everything yourself and I love it.  Buckling up in your car seat takes about 10 minutes lol, because you have to do it yourself!  You say, "me do it by my own."  You have such a strong personality and I love it!!! I seriously admire how strong you are and how you are not afraid to try one single thing! That is an amazing quality to have Molls, never lose that.  Even if you don't succeed at what you try, try anyway!  Truly, the fact that your trying in the first place is such a success! 

I love you my sweet little sassafrass.  You are truly a joy to have in our family.  I don't even know what we would ever do without you.  Keep that strong sassy sweetest personality you have!!!

Mollie girl!! I always say how crazy you are and seriously it's so true!!! But I wouldn't change one single thing about you!!!!!! Not one! You make me laugh a million times a day!!! Seriously you are SOOOO funny!!!! I can't even begin to tell you how fun you are!  You just talk and talk and talk all day long!  It's the dang cutest thing ever!  Lately you say ok after everything you say. But it's like the cutest little thing ever!  If you want something you say it in the cutest voice ever.  Like yesterday you didn't like the lunch I made you so you said, "I have mac n cheese ok."  Just everything.  "I go outside Ok."  " I get in bath ok."  I just wish I could etch that little ok in my memory forever! I just can't even describe in words how cute it is.  You're still a singing fool.  You sing all the time!!! My favorite lately is when you sing I am a child of God.  It's seriously the cutest thing and it makes me feel the spirit instantly.  I love how obsessed with your "blue blank" you are (blue blanket).  You have to have it most of the day and you love to take it everywhere. I love when you have to be bundled up in it in the car even when it's 100 degrees outside.  This past week you have stayed in your bed all night long (you've been coming into my bed every night for almost a year).  I always said it will be nice when you sleep in your own bed all night, but I miss your little body sideways and on top of me all night in my bed. :)  Your dad and I were just talking about how you have just grown up lately.  You are just so much easier in the day.  You like to play and it seems like you've just turned into a little girl.  You aren't so much a baby/toddler anymore.  It has seriously been so amazing and so so so fun watching you grow!! As bittersweet as it is, I absolutely love watching your milestones!  I can't wait to see your personality continue to grow and develop.  You are seriously one of the funniest people I know and you're only 2! 

You've also turned into a pretty picky eater!  You pretty much live on yogurt and cheese! That's all you want lol! You'll still eat a few fruits, so I try to give those to you as well, but as far as other food you just don't like much.  You do love mac and cheese and hot dogs but those aren't the healthiest.  You still throw your food and drinks on the floor with your done eating.  You literally just chuck them as far as you can.  Yesterday I made you a quesadilla, you ate the cheese off of it and then threw the tortillas on the ground.  And I'm not sure if I wrote this already, but the other day I made you a soft taco.  I cut it in half for you.  You took one half in each hand and threw them both over your shoulders.  Meat, cheese, lettuce, etc. flew everywhere!  You're just as crazy as can be!! But I just can't help but smile and laugh!!! You're just so spontaneous and fun at the same time!!!  I just love you to pieces Molls!!!! I seriously can never even begin to put into words how much I love you!!!! I don't know why Heavenly Father sent you to me, but I am forever grateful!!!!
